It's cold now. We descended from the top of Middlebury Gap. It was a cold descent. We had camped at a closed ski resort. That, was amazing. We thought it was a national forest and it probably wasn't, but it was quiet, it was calm, it was nice. I'm enjoying my time in Vermont. Yesterday it was hot, but today it has been really chilly. We stopped in town for some well deserved coffee.

We were given an alternate route for today by one of the locals who stopped to speak to us. He suggested stay in Vermont longer and ride by the river before crossing into New Hampshire where we would ride by the river. We took his advice and as we rode we outran a storm that was chasing us. As we pulled into New Hampshire the storm got really close, and by the time we set up our campground, the storm hit hard. We were under a shelter so we barely got we.  We stayed at the pasture campground in Orford, it was GREAT, and there was this awesome food cart across the street, they had excellent breakfast!!!
