Day 35 pueblo to olney

We left pueblo at like 1 pm. It was hot and we decided to put off biking and we went to breakfast. I had some spicy spicy food. We ate a muffin and a smoothie and we tried to update our blogs at the library. Computer malfunctions made that impossible. However, I was able to add Google Latitude to my website. If you go onto my website, you can see a map of my location. It updates when I have phone service, so it can't track exactly where I will be at all times, but it'll update whenever I get to a new town if i get some kind of phone signal.
Anyway, after leaving Pueblo, we arrived at the next town, Boone, CO. There, we lingered at the town store for a long while. They gave us a brochure about Prairie Horizon Trail. It had a map of the eastern Colorado towns we'd be passing. It also detailed what services each town had, like restrooms, and swimming pools, oh and camping. I was excited for that because they seemed bike friendly.

When we started biking we ran into some other biker who told us he had been staying in Boone for the last few days waiting for a part for his bike to get mailed to him. He was tired of waiting for it, and wanted to get going again. After talking with him for a minute, Kayla and I took off.

About two hours later, we began seeing a figure approaching us, it was another biker. When he caught up, it turned out to be the same guy from Boone. He didn't get his bike part. He biked with us the rest of the day. His name was John. Turned out, he was biking from Alaska to Key West, Florida. It was nice having another biker with whom to talk to. When we arrived at Olney we had our maps telling us that there was camping at the park in front of Kiki's Cafe. Unfortunately the Cafe was closed like for good and there were no other stores. We had been looking forward to a cold drink- and that wasn't going to happen. this was a small preview of eastern Colorado, small towns, empty and everything closed.
We told john we'd be stopping there for the day. He said he'd join us. We, Kayla and I, said that it was ok but thought it a bit weird. Our duo became a trio.

We exchanged stories and showed off our food. We agreed to wake up early the next day, and start riding at 5am.
