I just wanted to update you on the trip. It's been fun so far. We got off to a rough/late start. Oh, and I see what all the fuzz is about San Francisco's hills;they are so steep, it's a bit difficult to see how people can ride bikes, drive, or even walk in some of the area. We hit 9 miles day one, 37 day two, and 81 day 3. Water has been something like 1 gallon day one, gallon and a half day two, and two and a half day three(just for me). We stayed at hotels so far, except last night when a nice gentlemen, Darrell, offered us his backyard, so we camped there. Thank you. We just got started with day four right now. We're in Folsom. Up until now, we've passed through San Francisco, Vallejo, Vacaville. Davis, and West Sacramento. Kayla's front derraileur has been repalaced. Our day three ride was exhausting but great, we covered lots of ground we found a good place to spend the night. It's so nice when things go right. Day four began with a flat tire.
We've got, looks like a mountain to climb as we make our way to Carson Pass. We are exhausted from yesterday's ride. Wish us luck.

We hit 100 miles on the odometer.

Kayla shows off her front bike bags.

We passed miles and miles of orchards, and orchards, and orchards. We saw oranges, lemons, figs, strawberries, peaches, apricots......they all looked delicious. it would be nice if they made a Snickers tree.
