Escalante to Not Torrey 7/9

Left at 645am. There's something called the Hell's Backbone we have to climb. La Espina del Infierno , o El espinaso del infierno or something like that.

It turned out that Hell's Backbone was nothing to worry about. However, miles before it were terrifying and amazing. The views are just spectacular. I'll post pictures here later. The Escalante river was amazing. BEAUTIFUL.
This part of utah is in its rainy season so once again we found ourselves surrounded by thunderstorms. Once again we lucked out, dry. We couldn't outrun it though, we were climbing up that mountain, slowly. Luckily it went around us.
Uphill was more than we realized and we realized we were not going to make it to Torrey. At the topwe had to watch out for cows because they were hogging up the road. Luckily it seemed like they were afraid of bikes because they ran when we got near. They'd get in the cars' way  but not in ours. Kayla almost got attacked by them...so she thought.
We stopped shortly after the summit.   We found a nice campground, there's a stray dog running around Kayla has been wanting a stray dog. Anyway we set up camp at Oak Creek Campground and  good night.
