Cold springs Station to Austin, NV
I thought we were going to Texas. Turns out, Nevada ALSO has an Austin. We stopped and took pictures for a bit but after a while I noticed the monotony and haven't been taking as many. Also, i can't upload any until i get to a computer. What can i say, it's hot, we've been drinking a ton of water and a ton of gatorade. We're going through about 2 gallons of water each per day. I ate some melted snickers in the middle of the day- thank you, best Snickers i have ever tasted.

When we got close I paid too much attention to how long it was taking. The last five miles seemed to take forever. We finished uphill, five miles uphill. Five miles isn't that bad. We've done that in California- we did 36 miles of uphill one day.
Difference here was that it was at the end of the day, that's just awful. Oh, and we had some of that desert sun hitting us for over 50 miles.

But we made it and Austin turned out out have an awesome Restaurant-Cafe. We loaded up on Gatorade and camped behind a church. Cool. I liked Austin when we finally arrived. Mainly, i liked that it mean we could rest, but it was also a quaint little town. Cool. Maybe, one day I'll go to the other Austin and hopefully that one is cool too.
oh, and we've seen people on tandem bikes, those are cool.
